Elephant & Castle - Richmond

It's a bar, not really what I'd catergorize a restaurant. Upscale pub fare, a lot of commercial sauces, doesn't feel like much is done in-house. And yet, everyone's else food looks good. Good atmossphere, will try later day service. Feels like they've got their seasonal promotions in gear, which cannot disguise, perfectly adequate food.

During my recent trip to Vancouver, I visited this restaurant which is conveniently located within walking distance from the Marriott Pinnacle where I was staying.

I can't stop thinking about the Shepherd's Pie from this fantastic modern pub even after four months.

I was not impressed at all. The overall layout is strange and the tall chairs are not comfortable.

Service and food was great. We had a fantastic server who was friendly and professional. Food was better than we expected... gotta love that!
