Double Double Restaurant - Richmond

My uncle recommended this restaurant because he is a regular since they started in Vancouver. Since my kids love the food there so we go there for lunch occasionally. Service was ok until our visit yesterday. It was lunch time and understandably its busy but we didn't mind the wait. About 15 mins to our wait, another customer came in and waitress started to put down our names because customers were starting to pour in. The waitress told us that we will be next as she acknowledged that we waited for awhile. We were second in line just before this customer who complaint already after 5mins of wait. After half an hour, our name was called and as we sat down, the same waitress said out loud that we were budding in and said the other customer waited longer than we did. On top of that, she ask again if that was our name as though we were criminals. That was unprofessional and humiliating. Its seems to me the other customer was the one who was trying to bud in. We told her we waited for half hour and came before them. She just said I will bring you the menu anyway with no apology. Whatever the case was, she should not embarrass her customer. My husband was angry but tried to stay calmed and ordered a few things and left with a small tip. Initially, we just wanted to enjoy our lunch with the kids. My kids were unhappy about the whole ordeal and definitely not going back there again.

A local hotspot for Hong Kong style breakfast, they do not only serve a variety of congees (savoury porridge) but also the deep fries.Food was of good standard and it came in good portion, no wonder Richmond is the top area of choice for the local Chinese community.The only downside is the huge menu as it's difficult to read through it if you don't know what to order.* I was told that there are lots of dangerous drivers who only picked up driving recently and will had all sorts of trouble breaking and accelerate into restaurants. This restaurant is located inside a parking lot so it should be better than those off the highway. Still, avoid sitting next to the window to be extra safe.
