Bell's Bake Shop - Richmond

Our family visited Bell's during a recent trip to Steveston. We were impressed by the unique selection of cupcakes that they offered. We tried one of each flavor and greatly enjoyed them all. I would highly recommend stopping by Bell's for a sweet treat if you are in Steveston.

I took our Grandson after school for a treat. He had hot chocolate, while I had coffee, both of us had a cupcake. They are the best! Also bought one to take home & it was done up in a lovely take home contrainer.

Much like the character in Beauty and the Beast, the cupcakes in the shop were made as sweet and lovely as she is. I ordered the Carrot cake cupcake and my howe ordered the Peanut Butter chocolate one. The thing about me is that I have a huge sweet tooth and my favorite part is always the icing. The cupcake I had was nothing short of amazing - it met my sugar standards and the cake itself was moist and freshly baked. And why not pop in for a yoga class next door to burn the calories off?

I would never ever purchase a cupcake here because of the puny size and high price. But friends have brought both the regular and gluten free cupcakes to our group of friends' potluck lunches and dinners. The cupcakes are ridiculously overpriced and undersized. I can't figure out how this place stays in business! They were once riding the wave of television's cupcake bake off shows but now are just another sorry bakery. The only merit point is the gluten free offerings.

I love this place I just wish the cupcakes were a bit better. The cake part is too small for the price and the last few times they have tasted stale.
