Anar - Richmond

The place has been in business for 7 years, and both my girlfriend and I are very sorry that our first time here was this past Sunday! Oh well, as the old saying goes, You live, you learn. The food served here is the definition of 'picture perfect ': it does look exactly like pictures of food you 'd see in a menu at another restaurant. And the taste definitely compliments the look! My girlfriend had the Joojeh, and the amount of rice was just *perfect* for her; I ordered the Loughmeh and added another koobideh kabob...it was so good it very closely rivals the first Persian restaurant I reviewed on Tripadvisor. The layout inside is very nice, from the floor to the tables to the pictures on the wall. The service was excellent; very friendly host, and the kitchen staff were very efficient with the cooking of the food (we were served ten minutes after ordering). Can 't wait to go back!

As a new experience , my boyfriend I tried Anar in Steveston! It is housed in a heritage building! The decor is eclectic! They have a fabulous lunch menu for $17 but you can also order from the main menu ! I had the Joojeh was not disappointed! My boyfriend had the Ghaymeh Bademjoon loved every bite! We look forward to returning in the very near future!

I went with 3 friends and we all loved the food. It has so much flavour without being spicy. The service was excellent and the prices are good. Small restaurant but cosy.

Have eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times the experience was great. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and beautifully presented and the portions are generous. One word of advice don't turn up for dinner between 6 7.30pm without a reservation since this place is quite small and very busy. Highly recommended.

We enjoy dining at Anar. It is always a pleasure to indulge in delicious Persian cuisine in Steveston. I particularly enjoy their kebabs and roasted lamb. The portions are generous and the plate presentation is excellent. Our dessert, a delightful apple crisp topped with pistachio ice cream, was a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious.
