Mezzo Thai - Richland

I ordered the Cashew Chicken and was disappointed to receive a half-charred pineapple filled with rice, paired with very basic stir-fried vegetables and a somewhat sweet sauce, along with just a handful of chicken pieces. On the bright side, the spring rolls were quite good, so I’m inclined to give this place a few more stars than it might deserve. Perhaps it was just an off day for them. However, it's clear they need to improve their Cashew Chicken; that pineapple was just too much. As for the service, it was a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday night at a popular spot, so I can't hold that against them. My friend ordered a Yangtze pork dish and didn’t enjoy it at all. I might give it another shot in the future, but honestly, the only highlight of the evening was the company—something I can find elsewhere.

We had an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered pineapple fried rice with shrimp, but it was the worst thing we've ever tasted—it wasn’t fresh at all. We ended up feeling sick afterward, and the taste left a terrible aftereffect. The shrimp seemed mixed in with the rice in an unappetizing way, and we had to discard it. The ginger mushrooms were also terrible. Overall, this has been the worst food and service we've encountered, from the phone call to the service and the meal itself.

This place is truly fantastic! The food is always incredibly flavorful and very fresh. The owner and chef, Jacqui, does an excellent job not only preparing the meals but also engaging with you while you eat, teaching you how to properly enjoy each dish. She goes above and beyond to make sure every customer feels valued. Twice a week, they offer free live music, and every table is adorned with fresh flowers, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. For those in Tri-Cities, there are two locations, so you can think of it as a chain and enjoy it even more. Spend your money here; you’ll indulge in amazing cuisine at a spacious restaurant where you can converse with the owner. They always hold the door open for you as you leave and provide exceptional service! Additionally, they offer cooking classes, which we plan to attend in February.

Rude service from the waitress before even the order. It took another 45 minutes to take Pad Thai and roasted rice away after saying it would be 20. The staff completely ignored us until the older Thai woman has asked for our order, which is the only reason why I give 2 stars instead of 1. Pad Thai was great, really good taste. Fried rice was terrible without taste, uncooked vegetables.

I specialize in tasting Thai food. And having eaten Thai food for many states I've been to this is another one that cares about seasoning, if you're looking for a place for lunch or dinner this is the place I recommend.
