The crab cakes were average; however, the Asian cole slaw that accompanied it was some of the best I ever had. I highly recommend ordering some of their Asian slaw. I had the kitchen sink gumbo and felt like it was pretty tasty. Finally, I had etouffee which I really enjoyed with a little hot sauce on it. My wife had the fish sandwich which was pretty large. My daughter had the kid's butterfly shrimp which she really enjoyed because most kid's meals come with popcorn shrimp, so she was really happy with the larger shrimp. We will go back.
I tried the fish and chips and the jumbo shrimp cooked the tricky way. The fish and chips was phenomenal and the tartar sauce was fantastic; definitely one of the best that i've had. I wish the fish was more of a tender rather than a filet because then I can get more of that delicious breading. The fries were also really flavorful and fresh. Mac and cheese was not bad, pretty solid. The shrimp (I got it blackened) was yummy and tasted very fresh but I would have preferred for the sides to have been more light, everything was salty and I wished there was more balance. My crawfish etouffee came cold which made me sad. We also ordered the calamari for appetizer but I guess our server just forgot to add it to the tab so I didn't get to try that; maybe next time. Clean and nice place; it's in city line so it's a great place to hang out and eat. Overall GET THE FISH AND CHIPS!!! You won't be disappointed
In a era where bad service is common, we were pleasantly surprised to receive EXCELLENT service. Paul, our server, gave great recommendations and was conversational. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was a nice balance of casual and charming. We were so pleased with the food and service we will be back. Now I will say if you don't like a hint of rum in your banana pudding, don't get it. I liked it but my husband didn't (and he's the big banana pudding fan.
Honestly we walked in here on accident and decided to eat. I wasn't expecting much but it was awesome. Our server is actually good (rare), the fish is cooked perfect, the herb butter is amazing, mashed potatoes great, and squash/zucchini mouth watering. A+Food: 5/5
Very nice and modern restaurant with an interesting menu. The mango jalapeño mule was delicious and well balanced 9/10. On the other hand, the fish and chips not good at all. The fries were cold, soggy, and overseasoned. The fish was fried in oil that was too hot, so on the outside, it was fried, but on the inside, the batter and fish were undercooked 4/10. The French toast was 6/10.
