Sweetwaters Coffee Tea - Richardson

Disappointed in this place. Came with a friend for coffee. We stood in line with no one in front of us and only about 5 people in the place seated with their drinks already in hand. It took 4 employees over 3 minutes just to look at us. Not a hello, we'll be right with you, nothing. Wouldn't even look at us as they talked to one another. Should have walked out then....When they finally took our order for drip coffee, they stated we had to be members to get refills. No problem, sign us up. Until we discovered that during the pay process we inadvertently didn't sign up because we thought the barista did. We couldn't get refills unless we made an additional purchase (again). We literally just bought the coffee.Overall, the employees were not friendly, the feel of the place was very sterile and they wouldn't consider a refill of drip coffee unless we made an additional purchase of coffee.I would not recommend this place after our experience today.

Definitely a nice neighborhood coffee shop, which is somewhat a surprise for a place that faces the busy GBT. When I walked in my initial impression was a space that was way too big for its clientele. But over the two hours I was there with a friend, it was consistently busy so clearly I don't know much about what size is appropriate! Drinks were creative and unusual, and they don't run a large overstock. The day we went I badly wanted to try one of their (non alcoholic) cider drinks and sadly they were totally out of cider. Lesson learned for me: Have a backup beverage in mind. There's not a lot of soft seating, which would be a welcome change. This is a place you'll want to stay for a while.

Nice place to study/work on your own, the shop is spacious so don't worry about finding a seat for you.

Great full-bodied decaf Americano. The wonderfully hot coffee was served in pottery cups (vs. paper cups) which I love. They have a small selection of sandwiches and pastry items which were very tasty. My friend and I tried the croissant breakfast sandwiches and split a cinnamon scone. The service was excellent. I was greeted by a smiling cashier when I entered the coffee house and the staff was very efficient. Recommended!

The opener staff in the morning Alex was so helpful and kind! Great energy to start off the day as I got to the cafe around 6:30. Nice to hit up a cafe with such great natural lighting, not many open this early.They have a great Vietnamese iced coffee and also a full menu of sandwiches too!Great place to chill and catch up with a friend, or work all day. Cannot get enough of the natural light in here it’s perfect.Plus they got cute merch! Parking is super easy out front, plenty of space.
