Przekaż informację zwrotnąI?d give the food 4 stars and the service 2 stars, just to clarify my 3 star rating. If you can go in with low expectations on service, you?ll be pleasantly surprised. As many reviewers mentioned, the service isn?t particularly friendly. I wouldn?tnecessarily call them rude, just not friendly or accommodating. Thankfully for Cafe Max their food makes up for it or theywouldn?t be in business. It?s a rule-sy type place that during the pandemic they had multiple signs saying the same thing, butnot limited to mask requirements. They post about keeping the door closed, pricing going up, max number of people in at a time,etc. Once you?re inside, expect to follow their menu as they are unlikely to accommodate any special requests. I will give themcredit that they do agree to leave off one of the salads I don?t care for from my sampler, but I feel like I?ve got to ask realnice for them to begrudgingly do so ????. One time I was there, the lady in front of me wanted 4 different salads, not a trioor a sampler. The answer was a hard ?no?. If you want the Caesar dressing on the side, prepare to pay $2 extra. At some pointyou weren?t allowed to order just Caesar bc of the romaine shortages (why not just offer it until it sells out? . The diningroom has been closed for a long time. I asked about it a year ago and they said they couldn?t get the staff. Most restaurantsand businesses for that matter are struggling to do so, but you don?t get a warm friendly vibe from the staff here, so I can?tsay I?m surprised. If you don?t look happy to work there, it?s hard to attract happy (or any employees. Regarding the food,the portions have been huge for all the years I?ve been coming, but my visit today was almost half of what they normally give.It was more of a normal sized portion and the right amount for me as I usually can only eat half. I also have noticed in thelast year or so, the chicken in the chicken salad can sometimes have a funky taste and texture. I?m not
Cafe Max has some simple yet delicious salads, and the portion sizes are definitely worth the price. I usually get seafood, ceaser, and one other for a salad trio plate that ends up feeding me well into the next day. Unfortunately, as of the last timeI swung by they hadn't reopened their dining area so it is pickup/takeout only. Which actually works pretty well: the staff areexperienced and quick.
I have walked in many times for their delicious salad. Today I ordered 4 salads over the phone. Once home I realized how skimpy they were on their portions! Barely filled the compartment of their to-go plates! I spent over $66!!!! Best advise: walk in toview how much they give you. For a $15 meal, they should not skimp!!! Disappointed. Will NOT go back!
My review today is not about the food because it is always great but the service from the ladies who work the to go room in Richardson are rude all the time and never friendly. Also, if you are going to only take chipped credit cards there should benotice to customers. I really don't understand how if your swipe is not working you can not just type the numbers in I've seenit done before at plenty of places. And when I spend over $20 for one lunch the service can be much much better!
I called in to place an order for myself and about 8-9 others. The person that took the order was getting agitated because of how many orders snd when I asked if she could tell me how much each order was individually with tax she said no get it when youcome in to pick up. Once arriving and waiting in a long line I find out later that I am supposed to wait in another line. So Iwaited which there isn't anyone there to get my order-so this older guy comes up to ring up the orders and I explain to him thatI will need individual receipts ???? and of course he sighs and tells me he cannot do that. So, here we go-my coworker and Ilook at each other and explain to him that we have different payments with credit and/or debit cards. ???? I end up paying on mycredit card due to the fact that he wouldn't let us look at the bags to determine which bag had what in it. I called to inquireabout the order because of course a few things were incorrect and one person didn't get their order. I ended up leaving my phonenumber but as of today I am still waiting on a call back. I was told the first time the manager was busy because of it beinglunch hour so I waited, after lunch no call so I call back and was told the manager had to step out. No call-nothing. No worrieswe will not go back again. Our doctors like to by lunch so we thought we would try it and get it catered but that was a dealbreaker. Recommend trying the new spot Salads to Go!!!
