John Dory's Richards Bay Boardwalk

When we arrived, we couldn't get milkshake, because the ice cream was finished. So we settled for Cafe Latté. It was good. I ordered hake, calamari and onion rings. My wife ordered sushi. Both our meals were delicious. The staff are very calm and it seems like they have a lot of experience. Please note that we suspect that the ice cream was finished due to the massive amount of kids that come here for ice cream and milkshakes. So, we don't really blame it on the restaurant. My friends and I frequent John Dory's on a Wednesday for half price sushi. We had a good time there! Be mindful that on a Wednesday the restaurant can become very busy which does slow service a bit. Shepherd is always attentive and always helping out fellow staff members. Sifiso makes excellent sushi, with a smile! Been here previously, was not a good experience, but with the current management, it is a very pleasant restaurant to dine with family. Sushi splendour! When feeling like sushi the budget is blown already, I’ve typically gone to Ocean Basket. Today, passing through Richard’s Bay we ended up at John Dory’s as they happened to be closer than Ocean Basket. What a happy decision, FAR better Alamo more generous portions of lovely Salmon than even encountered at Ocean Basket. The service from Nkosi was also attentive professional. Very happy and highly recommended

Terrible service, added drinks to bill we hadn’t order, when we wanted to speak to manager he was rude, didn’t try to sort our problem out, never go back to this restaurant, the worst experience I have evey had at a restaurant.
