Spice Lounge Express - Ribble Valley

I ordered a vegetarian biryani with a side of dansak sauce. This was the first time I couldn't eat something I had ordered. The food had a terrible taste, almost like it was cooked in dirty oil. The curry sauce didn't taste like a dansak at all and was impossible to eat. Being vegetarian, I usually enjoy biryani but unfortunately, this dish ended up in the trash. I also had to wait an hour for the food to be served.

The Spice Lounge Express on Whalley Road in Clitheroe is an excellent Indian takeaway. They offer a wide variety of options on their menu including appetizers, seafood starters, meat and poultry starters, vegetable starters, shashlik dishes, tandoori dishes, popular dishes, biryani dishes, and special signature dishes. There is something for everyone here, so come and enjoy a delicious meal.

I received good value for what I ordered at this restaurant. They even included a few free items, making it an even better value. There is street parking available as well as a public car park nearby. The service was friendly and they have a full Asian menu with reasonably priced food. They are closed on Tuesdays and only open for dinner service. They also offer free delivery within a 3-mile radius for orders of £12 or more.

Paid a visit on Saturday night and had a very good curry. I told them what I normally like and asked them to recommend something different, my wife did the same. The dishes that we were served with were both excellent; very tasty and decent portion sizes too. Makes a good addition to the Clitheroe takeaway options.

I've finally found a fantastic indian takeaway in Clitheroe that's reasonably priced. I've had approx half a dozen takeaways and they arrive in good time, lovely staff and the food is just superb....every single time. I have to hold myself back from ordering more often as they are SO good. I thought i'd write a review as i want them to be a success and stay around for a long time to come. My partner isn't on trip advisor but he loves their curries too.....he orders hotter dishes than me. I can recommend the chicken bhuna.
