Sæta Svínið Gastropub - Reykjavik

We ordered the Sæta svíns burger and fish of the day as lunch. To conclude for the burger in one sentence: Man’s romance. I chose medium well cooked for the burger and it was perfectly juicy. It contained premium rump steak and short ribs. Overall I will say it had strong flavour, yet they added red onion jam provided the sweetness. Also the burger served with waffle fries and traffle mayo. However, I could not really taste the traffle. Then my partner had the cod fish with veggies, very well display. Fresh and tender, comparitively light flavour but still remarkable. The source was the soul which had airy texture and amazingly match with the fish. P.S. Came across this delightful pub as a charming bar maid saw my family and I were lost looking for the whale museum. She kindly gave us directions and recommended we stop by for lunch after. So glad we did, the staff were just as friendly as the bar maid who recognised us and made a point to come say hello. Nothing but smiles from the team. The food was delicious and the portions set you up for the whole day... no need for three meals a day with these huge plates of food. The venue is very cosy and the small space adds to its delightful charm. My kids recommend the brownie smore for dessert! My geography is poor, but I think this is found in the old town. The food was absolutely delicious! excellent customer service also. we wanted to sit on a table, but no one was available so we found a place on the bar. Once a table has been available, they pulled us immediately and our food came very fast (fish and suppe of the day for me, ling for my beautiful man. I think eating was quite expensive to go to island restaurants. in any case they visit when they are in the middle.

Excellent eating, great snacks, good mojitos! late in the night sat and a bit of the eclipse show caught in the cellar. that's nice staff. the gyoza was great. it could have been more of them on the plate, but in any case it was the trick. the waffelfries are super tasty. more tasty that they look! surprised me. would definitely go back!
