The food was fantastic, a modern take on some traditional Icelandic meals. Everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty. We would have certainly returned but as it was our last night it will just remain a perfect end to a great short break. Highly recommend booking as it get busy...but for good reason.
After only 3 nights in Reykjavik we had had 3 amazing meals but this one tops them all and if we only had one meal I'd come back here. A superb selection of plates and each one quite amazing. I can also recommend the happy hour Moet Champagne with Liquorice and Cataloupe Melon. It sounds wrong but it is so right and works so well.
Delicious small dishes. Fish is perfect. I didn’t know couscous can be so delicious with some Asian twist. Creative menu well executed. Then there is the location. Friendly staff moved me to the perfect view spot, when I am already half way through my meal.
This place is a must visit when you're in Reykjavik! Medium sized dishes so you can taste a couple of them. You have to make a reservation though, days in advance!
Exotic place, very unassuming black building with a grass covered roof and inside you find a beautiful tapas restaurant and bar. Walls of stone, offer warm grounding tones. The people are very friendly and both nights we were here, it was bustling with energy. The food was brilliant. Icelandic menu, we had Fish Pie, Reindeer, Beef rolled in Icelandic pancake, to name but a few. The traditional Fish Pie is a MUST!! The best dining experience we had in Iceland. Make sure you book a reservation or you risk not getting seated.
