Reykjavik Rost

Reykjavík Röst, situated close to the city’s waterfront, easily became one of my favourite cafés in the central Reykjavík area. With its homey atmosphere, the place was a fantastic warm refuge during the bitingly cold Icelandic autumn. They make pretty tasty coffee which went well with their wonderfully flaky croissants. All members of staff were friendly too!

Lovely spot for coffee brunch. Right on the water so the view is beautiful. Latte was one of the best I’ve ever had. The Icelandic Pancake is a MUST. Fast and kind service. Just lovely!

Popped in for a hot drink to warm up. The cafe is located on the Reykjavik old harbour front. They serve hot beverages, soup, alcohol, cakes and much more, so plenty to choose from. Service was quick, staff are very friendly, atmosphere was great and free WIFI. Very pleasant visit, we left feeling warm and happy, ready to go back into the chilly wind.

Nice café on the shore. We went by while snowing and looking for a lunch place, and we chose perfect! We only had hearty meals and based on it, would like to go back to taste the sweet things. We had the open sandwiches that are generous in size and taste great! The food was very fast and beautifully presented. All staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and warm. There was a nice atmosphere with the fireplace. You even have board games when you have time to sit longer.

We stopped here before our whale watched the tour for a quick bite to eat. Sweet little cafe (you do not sit, go to the bar and order and then find a seat). Great views from the front of the restaurant and they also had picnic table outdoors.
