I was not long in this restaurant, so when my brother suggested that we dinner there I was everything for her when I remembered my father said that this one of his favorite locations served generous portions of fresh, authentic and well cooked Icelandic food... with prompt, friendly service and competitive prices! The menu today has a number of 3 course options (soup/main course/dessert), but you can also order a la carte as I ... a main dish along with a glass of white wine ... or other drinks of choice. I chose the fresh salmon that was cooked excellently... that was caught swimming the oil river known for its quality salmon ... and as mainstream connects the sea with two of the famous salmon rivers of Iceland; Hvítà Sog! Other family members chose menus that contain a delicious lobster soup, excellent beef and for Dessert Cream Brulee ... not so Icelandic but I was really deliciously told.
Charming family restaurant, great food at competitive prices, warm and friendly atmosphere. The owner/Kook made room for us in a busy evening, our meal was excellent. (The local seafood is great.
Been to Iceland four times. And three times, I've visited Laugaás. Allways great food. The three course menu with lamb, is highly recommend.
The best meal I had in Iceland, away from the tourist area, family owned, I had the lobster soup, leg of lamb and cream brûlée. and friendly service. I would highly recommend this restaurant, recommended by hotel staff at the Cabin Hotel. .
