So heres the thing, food and drinks were good…when they eventually came. Had to wait a while as some orders got mixed up and were handed to the wrong people. Overall slow, especially on drinks. Not necessarily the ladies fault but did have to go up and remind them about it. Chill atmosphere though I guess. Think they should invest in a number system or take peoples names with the orders to prevent this in the future.

Friendly atmosphere and comfortable stop. Staff are great and super helpful. Good selection of snacks to go with your drink; chocolate brownies are gorgeous!

Kaffitar is a friendly decent cafe on a pleasant stretch in Rejkjavik Refill coffee and decent food. Nothing not to like.

Advantages of this restaurant: complimentary coffee refills, convenient location. Disadvantages: unfriendly staff (or perhaps just one person was in a bad mood for being up so early? We arrived right at opening), lack of spoons for eating yogurt, uncomfortable seating. What I wish I had known: even though the menus alternate between Icelandic and English, they have menus available at the counter, so you can simply grab one and don't need to wait for the menu to switch back.

I tried the caramel latte and the advent latte at this restaurant and both were fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and even recommended a snack for us to try.
