Junkyard - Reykjavik

I had a chicken burger that tasted just like how I remember a Mc Chicken tasted like (even if it’s more 20 years ago I tasted one). Chips are great, and service super friendly. Would come back here if so was staying in Reykjavik for longer.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely amazing, one of the best vegan burgers I have ever had. It was a bit expensive, like everything else in Iceland, and we were surprised by the size of the fries and drink that came with our large order. We also found out that they sell subs and pitas at local supermarkets, like Hagkaup. Despite not advertising as fully vegan, they actually are and cater to all customers.

When my Northern Lights tour got rescheduled at the last minute, Daniel kindly brought the packed lunches to the bus stop for me. Additionally, when I had only 30 minutes between returning from the Golden Circle tour and departing for the Northern Lights tour, he surprised me with a burger and fries for dinner. I was overwhelmed with joy at his kindness. Everything from Junkyard was incredible and I am still thinking about the wonderful experience I had there.

The server was very helpful and provided me with an English menu. The entire menu is vegan, so you can choose whatever you like. Truly, the best burger I have ever tasted!
