The Coast Hillcrest Resort Hotel Restaurant

Oscuro, le falta mucho para ser un sitio acogedor. La comida solo puedo decir anodina. Yo pedí unos linguinis con marisco, comestibles, pero sin nada remarcable., salvo que la pasta estaba algo pasada. Mi hijo pidió pato, también normal, la piel no estaba crujiente y sin embargo las verduras de acompañamiento más bien crudas. El postre estaba bastante mejor. El servicio como casi siempre en Canadá muy amable.

Nos sorprendió gratamente la cena. Buenos platos y calidad en la comida. Tienen plato del día fuera de carta. No hay gran variedad pero a veces menos, es más.

Une nuit passé dans cet hôtel situé à 2 minutes du centre de Revelstocke. L'emplacement est superbe, niché au milieu de la forêt avec vue sur les montagnes environnantes. On apprécie encore d'autant plus ce cadre en prenant un verre sur la terrasse du bar qui offre un panorama magnifique. Les chambres sont très belles et comme habituellement dans ce type d'hôtel au Canada, très bien équipées et fonctionnelles. Le personnel , que ce soit à la réception ou au restaurant est très accueillant et engage facilement la conversation. Ils font, contrairement à ce que nous avons pu rencontré dans d'autres établissements, un peu plus que le job en matière d'accueil. Le restaurant de l'hôtel, que nous avons testé , offre un belle carte et ca peut être une bonne option pour le dîner. Une très belle étape sur la route des Rocheuses.

We stayed at the Coast Hillcrest on a stop-over recently. I've always enjoyed the Coast hotels that I've stayed at but the Hillcrest really blew us away. We received an upgrade to a nicer room courtesy of Cari and it was beautiful. Our dinner at the restaurant/pub was amazing, as was our room service breakfast the next morning. We ran into Cari a few times over our first night and she was so friendly and courteous - she really went far above and beyond our expectations. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others and hope to stay there again in the future!!!

So we ate here twice (as we were staying in the hotel)Firstly the good points -1. Wow - what a view over the mountains!2. Exceptionally polite staff 3. The best mussels we had all holidayThen the not so good points1. Husband had duck salad and was underwhelmed2. The cheese starter was overdone to our tastes - we couldn't find the cheese - only the skin of the cheese!3. The menu is quite short, so whilst this means it is probably all fresh - you might struggle to find anything you fancy (hence why we chose the mussels from the starter list on the second night and that was a real winner!)
