Mackenzie Common Tavern (the Mac)

We had a wonderful time at this place! The Pipe Coaster was an absolute blast and is definitely a must-try! Riding the gondola offered breathtaking views, especially from the top. The restaurant on-site serves delicious food, making it a perfect spot to relax. It's also a great location for hiking and mountain biking. I highly recommend paying a visit!

The stunning views of Revelstoke and the surrounding mountains make the trip to the top of the second gondola worthwhile. However, many of the summer hikes were inaccessible due to high snow levels. The little restaurant at the top has a good selection of food, but long lines and quick sell-outs can make it challenging to enjoy the coaster on busy weekends. The ropes course and axe throwing were enjoyable and offered a unique experience. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to try the disc golf course. It will be exciting once more dining and shopping options are available.

This resort is expansive and impressive. During my first skiing experience there, I got a bit lost. However, it's definitely worth exploring the highest elevation and longest run in Canada. This resort is also included in the Mountain Collective pass, which offers half-price discounts at partner resorts like Sunshine and Lake Louise. It remains open until mid-April, after which it closes for maintenance before reopening for mountain biking and hiking trails. The Pipe Mountain Coaster provides a unique experience that's perfect for you and your kids.

We spent nearly a week here and it still didn't feel like we ran out of things to do (or beautiful scenery) very worth the long long drive out from Calgary. Bit too many moghuls by mid day but they were soft, powder moguls so can't really complain :D

There might not be many lifts but the lifts they have are extremely efficient, and services a huge amount of terrain. There's great tree skiing for all levels (check out the trees next to the Gnome Zone for beginner friendly trees). Recommend the Revelation Lodge for food much more spacious and comfortable than the Mackenzie Outpost. My only beef with the resort is that it's lousy with traverses, and the ski to snowboard ratio is quite high.
