Had the lamb curry as the main course. Found out that the house specialty is a carrot cake. Yummy from start to finish. I've tried a couple of other Indian restaurants in Rennes and find that if you want fresh ingredients, this is the place to be.
Beautiful piece of architecture unseen in the corner of the street near Hotel Dieu in Rennes - very helpful staff and tasty food ideal for vegetarians too Must have : Cheese Nan
I was just walking around to look for a restaurant for dinner and I stumbled across this Indian restaurant. Warmly greeted, I asked for the set meal with a few choices to choose from. I was pleasantly surprised to be given an apéritif. For the entrée, I had the tandoori chicken. Very nice and it has a real tandoori flavor and char. There are 3 dips and if you are not given the dips, ask for them. My recommendation is the achari (pickles). The achari goes well with the nan and meat dishes. The main course was lamb curry. There were 4 large chunks of meat. Thought that there could be more, but that's the way it is and is pretty standard. I also ordered a garlic nan, which is quite good. To finish off, I asked for their house specialty dessert. Not sure what it is but it's a square-ish cake with almond shavings on top. Quite delicious. Extremely friendly service. I thought that the apéritif was for dine-in but I saw those waiting for their take outs given one too. Definitely going back there again. The evening meal costs 18 Euros and lunch costs 9,50 Euros.
It's in the end of the street behind the parliament. A calm restaurant which serves delicious Indian food with superb quality. We tried naan, dal, paneer matar, rice and gulab jamuns. I have to visit this place again if I visit Bretagne.
Not the best Indian restaurant in town, however it was quite good. The place is also pretty nice, the service was excellent. I like their butter chicken, and lentils with biryani rice are the perfect combo. The place is literally next to the street. All of them are delicious but it’s just not the best in town.
