Da Franco - Remagen

This ordinary Italian is located on the Rhine promenade. There is an outdoor area and a cozy Ristorante. After a bike tour I came here in the evening. Here the locals are very dense and offer a lot of variety. My choice fell on a pizza Italia: cheese, tomatoes, anchovies, artichokes, salami. She was thin and crispy and not too much baked. I've said that. As a dessert, I still enjoyed Tiramisu (was made according to my estimate, good taste, the soil somewhat soaked). The wine map was clear (the whites were offered a bit sweet, but the reds had vintage names and references to the manufacturer. However, on demand there was a good wine recommendation: a Montepulcano. Unfortunately, the service was somewhat negligent over the entire stay, because I would have liked to try a little more without calling for the waiter.

Perfect location, good food but all spoilt by the off-hand attitude of the waiter. Wish we had stayed to eat at Die turkischen Rheinlander Restaurant/Bar where we took a pre- dinner drink and were made most welcome.

Only had drinks service excellent, price reasonable. Peaceful watching boats up and down the Rhine till late at night.

Den teilweise negativen Kritiken können wir uns Gott sei Dank nicht anschließen. Unsere Fischplatte war einfach großartig. Die Produkte top frisch und super zubereitet. Der Service kompetent und freundlich. Dabei sitzt man direkt an der Rheinpromenade mit herrlichem Blick auf die vorbeiziehenden Schiffe. Im Lokal selbst erwartet einen allerdings "Gelsenkirchener Barock " für einen " Italiener " gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Wir waren zu dritt und haben einen Eisbecher und zwei Spaghetti-Eis bestellt.Es waren nur zwei oder drei Tische belegt, es gab ebensoviele Kellner, die aber sehr unaufmerksam waren.Obwohl mehrmals in unserer Nähe war es zunächst nicht möglich, etwas zu bestellen.Die Kellner irrten später auch immer wieder hilflos mit Bestelltem durch die Gegend und wussten nicht wohin damit.Zunächst kam nur der eine Eisbecher, kommentarlos abgestellt. Niemand wusste, ob die Spaghetti-Eis gleichnachkämen, oder ob man besser schon mal anfangen sollte.Die Spaghetti-Eis kamen dann tatsächlich auch erst, als der Eisbecher bereits halb aufgegessen war.Die Spaghetti-Eis waren eine Unverschämtheit, völlig lieblos und viel kleiner als auf der Karte abgebildet,dazu bereits halb geschmolzen. Ein Kellner ließ sich dann nicht mehr blicken. Eine spätere Reklamation wurde nicht anerkannt.
