Le grand Cafe - Reims

We have eaten here before and food including Mussels have been good!However tonight we ordered Chevre Chair Salad and Modules MarriniereThe Chevre Cheese what there was of it was served on plain toasted sliced bread just with plain lettuce and bit of tomato and was dull and boring unlike other salads we have experieced all over France.The Moules were all very small and dried up with no sauce or juice until you reached the overly salty water in the bottom of the bowl.I did complain to the very pleasant waitress who aplogised but that was all so then I complained to the manageress who just told me I was simply wrong and was not interested in even acknowledging my remarks and merely stated everything was as it should be ! There was no interest or concern that something was not right but when you are as busy as this place is then you can afford to be arrogant I suppose and not pay any attention to genuine complaintI didn't want a refund just some response that something was not right but they couldn't have cared less.So if you visit this place don't bother complaining as they are just arrogant about your concerns.

We were in Reims for one night, and luckily selected Le Grand Cafe for dinner.The menu is extensive. Moules seemed very popular and looked very inviting, but we were craving some good meat and settled for steak haches and steak tartar. The quality of the beef was superb, and the haches were cooked to perfection (bleu and saignant as requested.) Deserts (creme brulee and mousse au chocolat) were of top standard.The restaurant was fairly crowded, yet service was slick and friendly. I have lived in France and can honestly say that I have never had a waiter as good as the one we had that night. Finally, prices were all very reasonable.Will definitely return if I am back in Reims.

Whether it is for service, the quality of the meal, the prices, everything is excellent! Smiling servers and very attentive to any requests. I strongly advise this place, you will not be disappointed!

And the establishment we have been seeing for a long time: a map that it would be good to renew, mussels always as good, a kind of strange atmosphere between the servers who speak together without worrying about the client, who criticize the restaurant! it would be good to put the clocks back on time because a satisfied customer is a customer who returns! correct price regarding quality!

As soon as I was placed, the server brought water for my little dog, I enjoyed it.Moules to the copied and good mushrooms; I loved not feeling sluggish though alone at the table, which sometimes happens in some restaurants. Excellent evening
