Dos Locos Fajita Stonegrill

Food was just okay. The service was not that great. I had been here years ago and it was better.

Had a great evening with wonderful food and drinks. Both patrons and staff were friendly and very helpful.

I was very impressed by Dos Locos. I thought it would be one of those run of the mill Mexican restaurants by the shore. It could not be anything further than that. The food and the service could not have been better. Our family had such a nice meal here. We started off with baskets of chips and salsa and we went through three baskets of the chips. I had a Strawberry Margarita for a drink on the rocks that was really good. The drink had some kick to it and it was served in a large glass that must have been a double drink. It tasted really good and was the perfect buzz. I had a Shrimp Quesadilla with a side salad with Ceasar Dressing that was the perfect portion and was so perfectly cooked. The dish was loaded with freshly grilled and sweet shrimp and cheese. I thought the food was really good and the portion size was perfect for lunch. It was crisp and so perfectly cooked. The service could not have been friendlier and we were served by a woman who was Romanian. That was an interesting twist to a Mexican restaurant. It was the perfect Christmas dinner and I really enjoyed it. It was one of the few restaurants open on Christmas day.

When we arrived, nobody was there to seat us for ten minutes. Eventually, we were seated at the bar with my four underage daughters. After asking the bartender to move us to the dining room, we noticed only two waitstaff were handling the entire restaurant. There’s no way that salsa and queso were homemade! The salsa tasted like canned, puréed tomatoes, and the queso was not just bland and cold, but the portions were tiny—definitely not enough for a toddler. The guacamole was the worst I’ve ever had. It started browning just minutes after being served, was warm, and didn’t have even a hint of lime. After much confusion and miscommunication from our servers, our food finally arrived. The enchiladas were even more disappointing than I am to my parents. To top it all off, my poor daughter found a long piece of hair in her chewy steak! And we’re still not done with this review. The service was abysmal. We didn’t receive napkins or utensils until after our main courses were served, forcing us to wipe our hands on our clothing during the entire first course—if you could even call it that. Shouldn’t something as basic as water be a given? Not at Dos Locos; we had to repeatedly ask for it, as if it were a luxury. This is pure madness! We will NOT be returning.

We've been loyal customers of Dos Locos for years under the previous owners and always enjoyed it. Earlier this week, we ordered takeout, and the food was decent—nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. However, our dining experience last night was disappointing. We were seated promptly but then things took a turn for the worse. After taking our drink order, our server disappeared. Meanwhile, the table behind us received their drinks, chips, salsa, and even placed their dinner orders, while we were still waiting. The table next to us was experiencing the same frustrating delay. To make matters worse, new customers arrived only to be told there was a wait for a table, despite several empty tables available. The lack of staff and poor service have led us to decide that we won’t be returning.
