Had recently a meal at green zenphony. flavorwise, it was far underlying to other veg Chinese sites in the city. it also seemed overpriced and under-flavored. everything fried had somehow a funny taste as if they weren't old oil in their frittier los. loving hat and lucky in brooklyn are both far superior. the service was a little better than okay, but not great. updated by previous review on 2019-10-18
Green zenphony is a national shady. I have been vegan since 1993 and have literally hundreds of vegan or vegan-friendly restaurants, and green zenphony is one of my absolute favorites. eating is incredible, always delicious, beautiful and cooked to perfection. the atmosphere is soothing and underlined. quiet music, mostly jazzy or Asian inspired covers by popular melodies. the service is incomparable. they are beyond the kind, they will bend back to please them. I have brought a lot of all-eaters here and they were always enthusiastic. no one complains. I have a friend here torn and screaming (he was a great carnivore); he went back without me a few paintings, it was so good. they have the heavy wrong on his squirting mushroom steak. none of us noticed, but the owner did. she apologised to insult us with the fault of the cook. we were already happy with it, but she insisted to make it again with the right sauce to make a good impression, and it was even better. I am a big fan of cedar pancakes, spring rolls, orange sensation and mango chicken. her homemade vegan cheesecake is for dying. nothing on the menu has ever disappointed me. Unfortunately, the parking lot is pretty any type of business along the queens blvd treated this, but, and this place is not an exception. they do not have their own private parking spaces; I think if they do, they would have a lot more business. it is luck of the draw sometimes I have found parking two steps in front of the door, sometimes I have to run half a mile in the icy cold because there are no street parking spaces and it is always worth it. go to park early. this place is spectacular. it surprises me how empty it is most time. I would expect it to be fully packed. I really hope they're holding around for many years and extending to other locations. do not miss this gem they will love it! update: it looks as if it were temporarily closed, probably due to the coronavirus shutdown. I really hope they will open up soon. I can't wait to come back. updated by previous review on 2020-10
I was so excited to find this restaurant again. when I was a child, we used to eat in the former restaurant. I found this place on happy cow and was thrilled that it tasted just as I am. will definitely be back.
I go there once a week, at least. I’ve tried most their dishes and they amazing! My favorites are mango madness, orange infusion... I also love to order the cider pancake and the appetizer for 2! You should try it. I love the bamboo soup and the hot and sour soup! Omg, I would say I love the entire menu!
