The Chimney Lounge - Regina

For a restaurant that is usually excellent, my experience on New Year's Eve was quite disappointing. I understand they have new owners now, but that doesn't excuse the poor service. It was an overall awful experience. The waitstaff did their best to manage the situation, but it was challenging for them as well. The new owners really need to get things in order, or they might lose their customers for good.

We had a fantastic dinner last night. Our group of six enjoyed an amazing evening together. This is one of the few restaurants in Regina where you can actually relax and have a conversation without feeling rushed. The cozy atmosphere makes you feel like you're in a log cabin.

The server was polite, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations based on our previous visits several years ago. The drink I ordered arrived with lipstick on the rim, but the server promptly replaced it. The ribs were excessively fatty, and the lemon roasted potatoes were simply small new potatoes with no hint of lemon flavor; each of us received about 5-6 potatoes. On the positive side, the garlic toast was enjoyable, and the salad was good. However, the vegetables were lacking, consisting of just three pieces of cold broccoli and a single piece of cauliflower. After the meal, two of us felt unwell. Given the $30 price per plate, we won’t be coming back.

The Chimney is very unorganized and and very messy like as In organizing and the first time I had it, it was very disgusting and cold could've been way better and the next time I went they were just like not busy and looking bored and seemed like they didn't know what to do.

I went for brunch on Sunday. The 19.95 price is no where near enough. The buffet was amazing. I also ordered a 24 Oz ribeye for carry out on another evening my girlfriend and I shared it there was more then enough food for both of us. Servers treated us like we were the only table in the place. I am so happy to have found this place
