Bistro Jolie - Regensburg

Kuchen looked delicious, tea was fine, just the service wery badly organized and slow, few guests left before being able to order

I was there with my fiancé and ordered a cappuccino that was totally horrible. When I informed the owner on the not drinkable coffee, even added lots of sugar that didn’t make it better, he got furious, telling me about all the great reviews he...got in the past. Not a single word that could have been seen as an apology or anything alike. No. Just words of how bad my taste must be (that day but also in general) that I didn’t like his cappuccino. We also had a piece of cake each, and wanted to use a voucher. We got the impression that prices for cakes are higher with voucher than they are without having a voucher. He also doesn’t show prices for the different cakes, only tells them roughly when explicitly asking for them. The pieces for those with vouchers also tend to be smaller than those for regular guests. To clarify a little more: the visit mentioned was our third visit to Café Jolie, and during all the visits we noticed the same things smaller pieces of cake when presenting a voucher and weird, unclear pricing. It was the first time the coffee was horrible. For us the last time we went there. I do not recommend this location. There are better cafés in Regensburg that also offer better cakes.

Great for a Saturday morning breakfast with friends. Great food and friendly staff. Diversified menu, from breakfast options to lunch options(limited though)

It's a small cafe on a quiet backstreet...run by a very helpful man who's wife makes beautiful sandwiches and snacks. We ate here twice.. I had scrambled eggs with shrimps the first time then a smoked salmon and avocado baguette the second time...both absolutely fresh...and delicious...nice wine or coffee too..

This small cafe is a hidden gem. Excellent service by the man and wife team. Beautifully presented tasty food. Will be back.
