A Tavola - Redwood City

I've only been here at dinnertime. Unlike the other reviewer, I've found their service to be decent. The food is what's worth talking about, though. D'Asaro consistently delivers really great food, at very reasonable prices. They've got a good wine selection, and some great appetizers. It's a beautiful restaurant, too, though if you get seated in back, you might worry that they'll forget about you (but they haven't for me, at least). The meatball appetizer is great, as is the tuna with avocado appetizer. For dinner, the halibut with spinach is outstanding, and my wife loves all of the pasta dishes she's tried.

I tried this restaurant when it first opened. Terrible service and my chicken sandwich arrived with a chicken patty on a bun nothing else on the plate! Not a tomato, parsley, lettuce nothing! It was advertised to have arugula but they didn't have it. However, I tried it again at the prodding of a friend. It was ok the second time. But the service was not good. We recently tried it again. One person ordered an iced tea with lunch. The waiter asked if he wanted another. He said yes. They charged for a second iced tea! I couldn't believe it! Sorry, but I cannot be bothered with a place like this. They have turned me completely off and I won't go back.
