Sunny Teriyaki - Redmond

Sunny teriyaki is a great place to grab a quick meal without much frills. Due to COVID-19, I got teriyaki chicken for take out. It came with a small side of salad and sweet/tangy but thick salad dressing. Both the teriyaki and rice were made well; not too dry and not to mushy. They also provide extra teriyaki sauce. The chicken was on the burnt side and unfortunately shined through the sauce. Otherwise all was good! Limited parking in front. Slightly awkward driving directions to the site (you need to drive a bit through a residential neighborhood to get to the restaurant which faces towards a slightly busy road).

Good hot food, fast, decent portion size, fair pricing, courteous and helpful staff. Chicken Teriyaki Gyoza Lunch Special 5/5!

I got a to go bento box B from this place. I ordered ahead and walked to the restaurant. The food was ready. They made the chicken katsu as spicy on request. I got salad, 3 duplings, a spring roll, sufficient chicken katsu and sticky rice. they gave some dips and overall was a satisfactory lunch. I felt that overall the lunch was dry with all that rice. I suppose this may be how bento box are made.

Sunny Teriyaki is consistently great food. Best teriyaki in Redmond for sure and possibly the best anywhere. I love the chicken breast teriyaki is grilled so it is not greasy and I get to control the amount of sauce I want. It's a 6 out of 5 stars! Give it a try.

Continues to be a solid place to get teriyaki. This time we tried their two lunch special teriyaki chicken with gyoza and with spring roll. We also had the egg drop soup. We liked it. — Continues to be a solid place to get teriyaki. This time I tried the spicy katsu, which was crispy and spicy, delicious. This time we got spicy chicken, katsu and general tso's chicken and katsu and chicken breast. The katsu was good as usual, but I wasn't a fan of the chicken breast it was cut very thin and it was dry : Continues to be one of my favorite teriyaki places, very consistent, good amount of food, tasty, descent prices. Seems like I always get the same thing, here is another, fresh photo of the general tso's katsu combo. Love this place! I usually get chicken teriyaki and I haven't been disappointed. I wasn't a big fan of the general tso's chicken though, I found the sauce too thick. The chicken katsu was great. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and they also offer complementary soup and tea. I'll be back next week.
