A bit of history here...Luigi's opened a couple of years ago replacing a Mexican Restaurant. Oddly enough, Luigi's first menu iteration was mostly Mexican Cuisine... Fast Forward...Luigi's IS ITALIAN Cuisine!!! Yeay! The Ridge needed this! Alfredo, Owner and chef came from Andiamo's in Bellevue. Andiamo's a long time favorite of Bellevue regulars! The atmosphere has tinges from some of the Mexican past but they have done a good job of bringing in the Italian feel with white tablecloths and candle lighted tables (note to owners, candles should be lit at all tables throughout dinner to ensure the best ambiance). We were served by Nancy who made us feel very welcome and work with us to navigate the menu. Our first time my wife had a lamb chops which were wonderfully prepared and very flavorful. I had a veal parmesan which lived up to my expectations of a genuine italian preparation. Luigi's has a very nice wine selection with some very recognizable regional wines. Overall we had a terrific experience and are thrilled to learn the Luigi's is really Italian food now! I look forward to exploring the menu further and adding Luigi's to our circuit of local restaurants!
Italian not Mexican The Wife and I came in for a Sunday evening dinner recently after hearing good things from a few friends. We were not disappointed. The food was really good and the atmosphere was great as well. The prices were OK but prices of eating out have skyrocketed in the last year. My wife enjoyed her pasta and I enjoyed my gnocchi. The best part was our server, she was fantastic. Super friendly, great service and even gave us some background on the chef/owner and the name. I believe her name was Nancy, if not please forgive me We will definitely be back!
Great, authentic Italian food and tasty specials. Puts any chain italian place to shame. We have enjoyed the rib eye special, several raviolis, and other dishes. The kids love the off-menu buttered noodles and chocolate milk. The staff is great, it's never too busy, we enjoy the wines as well. I'm a little afraid to post this because it's such a hidden gem but we do want to see them see more business!
Luigi’s ITALIAN Cucina was great! Excellent service, wonderful low lighting and atmosphere, extensive menu, incredible food. Can’t wait to go again. Google rating will be adjusted to 4.7 or so once the bad reviews for a completely unrelated Mexican restaurant are removed.
