I was less than impressed with the sushi, if I'm being honestMaybe I need to have the pho? The Agedashi tofu was lovely though.
Best kept secret in Alberta. The seafood here is brought in fresh every other day flown in from Nova Scotia. I am in this store at least once a week. Their haddock tastes so sweet and their Tiger prawns are close to 4-5 inches long! I buy those for special occasions as they are $100 -$115 for a big bag. They sell out of these bags, so you need to call ahead. They are shipped fresh->frozen at the time they are caught.
I have been purchasing seafood from Fisherman's Pride for quite a few years now and found their quality overall to be excellent. This week I purchased two pre-cooked lobsters, some crab meat, fresh tuna etc.. The lobster when cracked open had a dry membrane on it and the claws and tail meat were both dry and we just threw them out at 30 bucks each. Couldn't eat them.We will not be patronizing Fisherman's Pride again. We will be sourcing another store even if it means driving to Calgary.
I love this place. The service is excellent and the sea food is fresh and the best in central Alberta. Excellent selection and the staff go above and beyond to accommodate their customers. If you love great sea food this is the place to go!
