I visited for Sunday lunch and tried the rib of beef, which was outstanding. The beef was tender and slow-cooked, effortlessly separating from the bone. The Yorkshire pudding was fluffy and crispy, and the vegetables were perfectly prepared. I returned this week (November 2023) and was served by Lizzy, who was helpful, clear, energetic, and cheerful. I opted for the no-leaf salad with added butternut squash, which was filling and felt very nutritious. I indulged in a Bakewell tart for dessert, which, while not the healthiest choice, was definitely worth it! Price per person: £20–30. Food: 4/5. Service: 4/5. Atmosphere: 4/5.

Great breakfast overall. Scrambled eggs that my partner ordered weren't great. Looked like an omelette cooked in the sale place as everything else then chopped up, so go poached. But good overall.
