Mays Sandwich Shop - Reading

I had been looking forward to visiting this sandwich shop for months, and I finally went this past Thursday. I was a bit disappointed—while the sandwich meat had great flavor, the hoagie roll seemed a few hours away from being stale, which really impacted my experience. The price was excellent, and since I’m a big fan of hoagies, I plan to give it another try. Usually, I like to observe how they make my sandwich, as that gives me a good idea of whether it'll be tasty or not!

Amazing food and fantastic staff! Bill, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and really knows his way around the kitchen. I tried the chicken salad sub on a hard roll, and it was absolutely delicious, loaded with generous portions of meat. I can't wait to sample the entire menu!

I absolutely love Mays! The prices are affordable, and the food is great, no matter what you pick. The staff is incredibly friendly too. It's the only place I've found that serves veal cutlet sandwiches, which I enjoy with ketchup and American cheese on a hamburger bun. Highly recommend!
