The Sicilian pizza here is fantastic, but unfortunately, it was only available on my first visit. If it hadn’t been for my subsequent visits, I would have rated it 5 stars after that initial experience. However, after visiting a total of five times, I’ve noticed a steady decline in quality with each visit. What started off great has become increasingly disappointing.
The dish is so delicious, it's called a Coconut Frost.
The cheese fries are amazing and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly as well.
I completely believe my friend’s account, both because I know him to be honest and because my own experiences at the restaurant have also been disappointing. Each time I've been there, the service was subpar, and it was apparent that regular customers received preferential treatment while newcomers were treated poorly. It feels like unless you’re part of their favored crowd, you’re not welcome. I’ve heard this place is owned by the same people behind Maria's on Penn Street, which explains a lot. Additionally, the quality of their pizza is mediocre at best, and their sandwiches left much to be desired. I wouldn’t be surprised if this Italian restaurant faced serious health code violations in the years to come. If you need further proof of my claims, just look up reviews online.
