Steiner - Rapperswil

Visit here for breakfast 21. October 2018. It was very busy this morning because on this day in Rapperswil there was a "Fun run". Basic Swiss baked goods for breakfast. Breads and baked goods with coffee and juices. Fresh, but nothing special.

This location in Steiner Rapperswil has a walkable counter and a high table with high stools on the window, while the opposite side of the place offers a table service and a complete menu of items. I scanned over the many mouthwater desserts, pastries, cookies,... breads and sandwiches and chose me for a slice of cake (4.30CHF) that I paid at the switch, then took a place in the much larger and full service side of the café and also ordered a hot tea (4CHF) that was served with a fresh cookie. The cake was quite interesting as it was layered with fruit in the middle and even more on the top. It reminded me of a fruit cocktail mix in this moist and delicious piece of cake. It was different and very good. I also grabbed a couple of rolls of bread from the counter. The atmosphere was relaxed and no stress and the staff was really friendly and professional. The café offers free Wi-Fi, flawless toilets and even a small playground for children on the ground floor. It was a very nice visit and I would return and recommend.

Always a good coffee, friendly service and beautiful cakes. I've never eaten here, but if we're always gonna stop in Rapperswil. The staff is friendly, not all speak English, but this is good that you are here in Switzerland. Always busy with people with lunch...and homemade sandwiches

Good for a quick meal for a very reasonable price. They have some great salads and "fitness dishes". Try the "Hot Grill Salad". Quite cheap lunch meals. Not the romantic ambiente but good for lunch. Also quite cheap breakfast menus.
