Dakotah Steakhouse - Rapid City

This is an excellent steak house. They often have aged local beef options on their menu or as special. All they cook is to order. The food is excellent and comes out quickly. You have to try the Chislic Appetizer. It's worth it. Very well seasoned and great tasting. The restaurant is very clean. Staff are really at the top of things and will quickly participate in your needs.

The Dakotah Steakhouse was an amazing experience. My friend brought me there for my birthday and it was perfect. Delicious food, great service and the atmosphere were just what we were looking for for a romantic evening. And don't forget a Prime Rib!

In any case, call to get a reservation. A few months ago I tried to take a walk and was quoted a 90-minute waiting period, although less than half of the dining room was filled. I called and made a reservation this time and was quoted to wait 90 minutes. My server (Christie) was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 6oz Sirloin wrapped with bacon asparagus, along with the Butternuss quesen/iron/bean soup and house salad. Fry bread was very fat I never had it before, but I didn't plan it as fat as it was. The soup was all right, it was very sweet and the Butternuss-Quark made up everything else. The steak was perfectly cooked. I expected more than three stems of asparagus, but it was still delicious. You will get a 5 for the presentation of everything very nicely plated.

That was my favorite meal on our vacation. I absolutely loved the steak and it's a topping. We also enjoyed the bread and steak/cabin soup. My son enjoyed the children's chicken fingers and half of my shrimps. Service was also great.

The restaurant is very nice and clean. The staff were amazing.They were as most restaurants go these days , short staffed. The way they worked ,you would not have known. The staff are very accomidating and knowledgeable. Trevor ,our server , was amazing. He asked us if we had been there and gave us recommendations. He made sure we knew the dishes not available. He was busting his tail off. Our Dinner was perfect. I could not complain about one dish. All the food was fast hot and seasoned well. It's a steak house so it is pricey but it was worth it. I would go here again. You will not be disappointed or hungry when you leave.
