We stopped here on our way to Seljalandsfoss and ended up coming back to Reykjavik because the food was so delicious! The lamb soup is a definite must-try, and the fish and chips were also excellent with very fresh fish.
Nice Ambiente and very friendly staff!! Food was good (chose traditional Icelandic) but guys your prices are extraterrestrial. Sure we (tourists) can all afford to go out for dinner when visiting countries but somehow I felt peeped across the table. 80€ for 2 main dishes and 1 soft drink is way too much for european standard. Even one piece of cake costs 1200ISK (9€)come on guys that cake does not contain saffron or gold leaf.
My wife and I both enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. I had a burger and she had the fish and chips, both of which were good. However, the standout for me were the sweet potato fries. They were perfectly fried and seasoned, probably the best I have ever had. They tasted delicious from start to finish and I ended up finishing the entire serving. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5.
Very good establishment. I tasted the specialty Plokkfiskur. It's kind of a cod brandade with cheese. It's succulent. Service: Dinner in Type of meal: Lunch
Charming restaurant with tasty fish stew and lamb soup. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Everyone in my group ordered fish and chips except for one who opted for the Eldstó Grand Burger. They raved about the homemade BBQ sauce and even requested extra on the side for their fries. Perfect spot for a group of friends. We were seated promptly for a dinner reservation with a party of six.
