Culinary Table - Randburg

Truly great location with views into the gardens. Book a terrace table. Roast lamb (family sharing) was superb. Would be an ultimate dish if they served with roast potatoes rather than a green salad (which was delicious regardless). Chicken curry also great. Apple crumble amazing but very rich and can be shared. Only negative is that they are always short staffed so service suffers each time. Need more staff. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

It was an exciting experience to be here, doing the grocery shopping. They 've got lots of stuff that you need for cooking: some Italian, Thai, Indian, Mexican, and other ingredients from different countries in one shop. Really interesting ⁠⁠ᴗ⁠⁠⁠ The restaurant is situated amongst the plantations—a mini garden like that—and has some vegetables and herbs. I went there for breakfast and ordered Creamy Polenta, and it was lovely, and the Iced Coffee was dope. This is going to be one of my all-in-one favourite places to spend the weekends. I have been twice now for lunch. The first time I thought the service was average and the food pretty bland (we had burgers my mom sent hers back as the patty was very undercooked). I gave it another try with my partner not so long ago, and sadly this time round wasn't better. Service again was very slow and unattentive I had to ask twice for menu's, a few times for salt and pepper (the grinders were also blunt), a few times for olive oil and vinegar, and other requests I ended getting up myself to go inside and get someone's attention. Regarding the meals, I had mussels this time (I have never had it served in a broth, so maybe that’s why it was bland). My partner’s curry was dry. The overall experience have been disappointing which is sad, as the place is just so stunning. I will, however, give it one more try. The food was excellent with a great outdoor experience,i especially enjoyed the carrot cake which I'm normally sceptical ordering at other places, but theirs was really delicious Parking: There's plenty safe parking spot.
