Bernie's - Rancho Mirage

Bernies is such a great place to dine. The menu offers nice choices with the prime rib and the the seafoods my favorites. The best martinis in the area poured right at your table. A very nice well trained staff. Nice desserts too.

We booked a reservation for a late dinner as we were arriving late at the resort. The waiter seemed annoyed with us as soon as we sat down. He seemed further frustrated when we ordered as we didn't order appetizers that he wanted to force on us. When our meals were being served, the waiter stood a few feet from our table, staring at us, making us feel uncomfortable and rushing to finish our meals. It was obvious that he just wanted out of there. That was really unfortunate as it was our anniversary weekend and we were hoping for a nice dinner.

The food is extremely salty. The blackened fish taco and French onion soup was bathed and soaked in extreme sodium content that was almost inedible.
