Huge portions served at such fair price, I like it. However, I tried their sabah tea smoothie and it was bit disappointing as the tea flavour isn’t very strong and got covered by the sweet honey unnecessary whipping cream on top. Also ordered their sabah tea pancake, love it but my friend hates it. There is slight hint of green tea flavour and it pairs well with the honey. It would be better if the green tea flavour on the pancake is stronger. Wanted to ordered their sabah tea ice cream but we were told it wasn’t prepared as they just had a blackout (so it is still melted), but I saw the ice cream being served to another table
The home of Sabah Tea. The factory looks abandoned, but the cafe is operating. Some minor paid attractions like the treetop deck, and traditional costume rental. Other than that are some photo spots (not very well-maintained), but the tea farm doesn't look very lush, and sparse at some places. Some shelters and lawn chairs for sunset viewings. The cafe offers a variety of Sabah Tea drinks, and food. Prices are above average, but so are the portions. Give the Sabah Tea ice cream a try. During my visit there, the sounds of the cicadas was deafening, so it wasn't very peaceful. There's also a souvenir shop selling various Sabah Tea products and some random stuff.
Environment is pleasant but the restaurant staff are very poorly trained.. you have to walk up to them to get their attention for service, they say all dessert items on the menu are not available because they are understaffed (on a Saturday afternoon), and I can’t believe they that the tea served at a tea plantation is so over-brewed that it’s become terribly bitter…. Oh and they don’t have any straws either so you have to drink your milkshake (which has not been mixed for you) from the glass hahaha
Always loved sabah tea ever since I visited Sabah so finally went to see the farm itself this time. The view was really nice with some tourist attractions like treehouse and rental of the sabahan traditional clothes. This really impressed me. The tea selection at the shop also expanded. However, did not know that you had to pre-book your seats or else you will be sitting at the middle area. This is probably the tour guide's problem for not letting us know first hand. Waited almost an hour for the food. Asked for napkins but never came. What supposed to be a good experience turned out to be a sad one. Hope the service and paced improved.
