Interesting winery specializing in Italian wines, which were quite good. So were the mini pizzas we had. Allesandro and Natasha were wonderful hosts and had us taste many enjoyable wines. Very delightful visit!
Dusty (Dusty and the Love Notes) with Indian Joe were making music ? at the Principe di Tricase winery. I went to listen to the music ?. The crowd was light and everyone was happy. My only complaint is about the coffee . There was none ready to serve. Perhaps no one thought about it before hand.
We had a wonderful time at this winery despite the unfortunate heat wave over Labor Day weekend. Luckily, this meant the winery was not crowded. There was a live musician and the man serving us wine was very attentive. He gave us a great wine tasting and the winery waives the tasting $15 when you buy a bottle. So lovely and hope to be back one day!
This paradise comes with a winery and so much more. Conveniently located just a few minutes off the Ramona main drag and also accessible via the scenic Highland Valley wine country road. We did not know what do expect on our first visit but were pleasantly surprised. The property immediately signals that it has grown organically. And I don 't mean the fruit, although undoubtedly but unconfirmed organic, but the farm which sits on 60 acres of sloping to rolling hills to the west side and open view towards the Ramona Airport east. You will find diverse lifestock which will delight grown-ups and children alike. There is a designated play area for children, so bring them along. Dogs are allowed as well. This business has been around for several years and offers 'pick your own tree ' service for the holidays. Food is available and prepared on site, we did not try any yet. The estate wine is unfiltered and free of sulfite, predomimantly red and my favorite is the dark rose. Wine tasking imcludes 7 samples. Vinegar and olive oils are made on premise, all estate grown. You will find old growth pomegranate trees which provide the fruit for the delicious pommegranate dessert wine fittingly named 'Passione '. The seating areas are also unique, some set under a pergola of pommegranate branches. There is so much more to see and explore which we will save for another visit. Oh, almost forgot : we were treated to live music. Altogether a fantastic experience.
