Hummingbird - Raleigh

I had great hopes for this restaurant and had been long before my man wanted to go for brunch. Unfortunately, our first impression was bad. we arrived and there was no designated host area to wait, so we stood and another few very confused of the bar. Five employees went past or worked on the bar without recognizing us or the other couple for about 5 minutes. I understand being busy with other tasks and not in the position to put us right away, but to ignore both customer groups is not great customer service for these many employees. we have ordered; I got a coffee drink, Grax toast, my man got the boom and waffel, and we shared the sticky bungalow. our eating took what was like an exceptionally long time for the numerous tables that were there. it was about 30 minutes for our food. I was hoping to be able to drink my caffe with the sticky bungalow, but that wasn't the case. eating was ok the hunch and wad and the sticky bungalow was good. the salmon was not what I expected, but I had never cured grax before, so I might just be.

Excellent service and excellent eating. I ordered the hull and waffle, and my friend ordered the best steak and vulture. the waitress was attentive, but not excessive. the atmosphere was small, intimate, and once they turn the music well for the conversation. I recommend this scenic cool spot. look forward to sitting on the terrace again!

Eating was amazing, we really loved the chicken liver pâté and pork, overall everything was well done, perfectly cooked. we ordered a bottle of wine, the chenin blanc, and it added all the dishes. the service was also on the spot. Overall we look forward to a return visit.

Hummingbird is cute, quite and overall great place! I think I would just go back for cocktails or lite snacks. The food was yummy but after running 9 miles I needed some meals that had more substance. The meals look like pieces of art

Other than our service being surprisingly lackluster, the food was delicious and relatively affordable for the quality.
