Golf House 19th Hole - RAGUSA

We tried the fish buffet and it was horrid. Very tired food as if it had been out too long. The other food was average. Service was good.

This is the lunch and half-board restaurant of the Donnafugata Golf Resort. For lunch you can eat a la carte or use the extensive lunch buffet. In the evening it is a la carte of you can opt for the daily new set menu. Food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. Expecially when they get to know you a little as a guest of the hotel.

For an after golf drink and light meal, this was ideal, with excellent service. However, in the evening it doubles up as an alternative restaurant to Il Carrubo which is where it goes wrong. The ambience is that of a works canteen and whilst we couldn't fault the food or the service, some attention to the lighting for example could have made it so much more enjoyable.

Slow, average quality, disappointing. Not in line w their rating, clearly abusing of their captive positioning.

We enjoyed a pasta buffet with perfectly cooked pasta and lovely sauces a delicious fresh salad bar with ham and cheese etc.
