Salma - QUINTANA ROO

Think pirates but make it sexy craft cocktail bar and resto... that 's Salma. It 's a stone 's throw from the Holbox beach centro. Reservations are recommended, but you can also attempt a walk-in during non-busy seasons. We loved the vibe, but I 'll be honest that it 's more of a steak and meat options type of place vs veggie friendly. We ended sticking around for margaritas, the live DJ, and the sexy pirate dark energy beach vibes.

Atmosphere: cave-like, swing up bar, live DJ Vibes: sexy, rumble in the jungle, romantic, dark, candle lit, tulum vibes Bevies: beachside creations, shot menu (one drink had a scorpion) Food: some of the best octopus I've ever had, fall apart tender braised beef tacos, roasted beets on point with a contrasting creamy sauce, goat cheese stuffed squash to make your taste buds dance Overall: delicious food, amazing vibes, you can make a reso on OpenTable

Salma became our Thanksgiving destination. We celebrated our honeymoon at Isla de Holbox and I knew I needed to find a place for thanksgiving. There were so many places to choose from and all were delicious but my wife wanted steak so Salma it was. Salma is a unique restaurant. The ambience is definitely Vampires meets Pirates of the Caribbean. The red lighting with the skulls gives off a not so festive vibe. More like you were in Indiana Jones in Temple of Doom.... kali ma....kali ma I was waiting for our waiter to take my heart than my order. Joking aside. I love this place. The food was incredible. The steak was served w roasted garlic and the sides were all delicious. We started w tacos and again Bomb-ay. The drinks were also unique, strong and tasty. A trifecta. Overall, Salma delivered on a giving us a unique experience and added to a list of things we were thankful for. Come visit, be in awe, and leave stuffed. Just be sure to treat the mascot.

Rica la comida, los platillos muy pequeños y caros para lo que costaban. Le pondría 4.5 estrellas si pudiera solo por el costo
