Blue Vue Cafe - Quinns Rocks

Went for weekend brunch and the small take-away place BEHIND this Cafe was packed but no one was at the Blue Vue. Decided to enjoy the view over the ocean and have breakfast in the quieter place. It was only just okay. Had the fritters with poached egg and everything on the plate was a different temperature, nothing ready at the same time. I know times have been tough and I don’t like to be negative but it really wasn’t good. Some more care in the food and presentation would bring in better reviews.

Ordered 2 bacon and egg rolls, the fried eggs were hard, which made it very dry. My husband had sauce on his, for which there was an extra cost however his was still dry due to the eggs. I did forget to ask for runny eggs, however we should have being asked. Not enjoyable at all. The milk in the coffee left an after taste and was obviously just on the edge of being off. The counter service was not good, not a smile in sight.

Asked if it was licensed to sell alcohol, told no, so we walked along to portofino's, then the boss sent his waitress running after us to let us no he can let us have a bottle of bubbles for nothing! so about turn we'll give it a go! We'll try the fresh chill mussels...........O NOOOOO! Frozen NZ Green lipped rubber bands turned up, we explained that we couldn't eat them as we were expecting fresh mussels, so he only charged us half price.Lovely man, thank you for the free bubbles!

I saw this lovely little cafe on Google Maps, purely by accident, and decided to try it out for lunch. Good Decision !! Separated from the beach by a small and fairly quiet road it reminded me of some very pleasant times on the Greek Islands it was quiet, relaxed and had that archetypal blue and white styling so familiar in Greece. The Blue Vue has a fairly simple menu with a good selection of dishes with a good price range. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch of fish, chips and salad, which I topped off with an iced latte. Service was great and staff were happy to chat. The atmosphere was simply sensational: great views out over the blue ocean, wonderful music in the background with a cool breeze and beautiful sunshine I could have sat there all afternoon. I will definitely go again and take my family along one evening. Congratulations to the owners and young staff hope you do well and don't change a thing (except maybe some live music in the evenings). Cheers, David

Had lunch opposite an amazing view, we enjoyed the Curry and Nasi Goreng. Staff were friendly and we would certainly visit again when we venture up that way.
