We had a nice experience with our stay. this is a special place to spend time with a beloved or a group of friends and enjoy the environment and the weingut. even better, share their stay with a concert and their special farm to table meals. we had a particularly sharp server called daisy, who took the time, some details about a reaction we had regarding a court and with further investigations on her part we showed a care that they immediately made right by not finding out the very nurturing manager, derek. eric also helped us at the breakfast and I could not find out the young woman and the names of the herr in the recipe and so they were so helpful. they will enjoy their stay immensely. I think ours were even better because my friend is a member, so look at these fools! this is a team that attentively and cares, so constructive criticism is welcome and please generous with their praise with a positive review. I am sure these reviews are helpful and the hospitality industry is filled with hard workers who are earned, cheated and appreciated.
We have stayed SageCliffe Cave B Inn oner the years. First was a few years ago for a show the Gorge, and again over the last year year 1 2 a few times to get out of town. When we stayed a few years ago, we didnt review, as we left thinking, meh, it was OK odd...... But after re visiting under the new ownership, felt its time for a proper review. Also just spent the night seeing The Lumineers last night : I wont dwell on the former resort Cave B, but will focus on the rebranded SageCliffe. We usually reserve a Cliff House the stand alone units scattered amongst the grapevines. All units we have stayed have had INSANE views from the floor to ceiling windows. We've been over winter where its covered in snow, still those views!!!! Cliff Houses are spacious, filled with light. Decor has been GREATLY updated with comfy furniture that compliments the architecture as well as the landscape. Bathrooms are large, LOVE their soaps shampoos etc.Separate jetted tub shower private toilet Checking in, there was a line, we were greeted nicely asked if we wanted to take seat until they were avail to check us in. Offered something from the bar while we wait, or a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie DELICIOUS BTW . We got some water cookies had a seat. Check in was easy professional, full of information about the resort, the map etc. We got Cliff House 3 this time. Drove to our unit, easy parking 50 feet away from the door. Room was delightful, new paint throughout just freshens it up. A C was on, room was cool! AHHH!!! There is that view we love! Had some time before the show to hit the pool that was a short walk down a steep hill if you have mobility issues, they will pick you up in these really cool electric transporters . Pool is lovely, the new lounge chairs are SUCH an improvement!!! They bought COMFORTABLE lounge chairs! Thank you!!!! Noticed some cabana beds as well that looked lovely, didnt try them this time. Towels provided in abundance. The bar the pool had a great variety of drinks quick snacks. Attendant was fabulous chatty : You can also order fresh pizza from their wood pizza oven they deliver!! Wasn't hungry, but noticed multiple pizzas being delivered poolside!!! We did have some margaritas they were strong, no complaints but compliments!!! : Every time we have been over the last year, we have seen improvements both with the resort the staff. They are doing this right with this beautiful property. From the fire pits, volleyball courts, bocce ball, outdoor pool ping pong so fun. We will certainly be back sing SageCliffe's praises!!
We had an amazing weekend staying in one of the Cliff Houses at the resort. Our waitstaff at the restaurant was incredible and attentive. Huge shout out to Daisy who went the extra mile to assure our dinner was amazing and cooked to perfection. Also, Eric was a wonderful morning server who always have a warm smile and great attitude.
First, I want to say the staff were excellent, the rest, not so much. We stayed in one of the cabins near the cliff. The views are truly amazing. The room is clean, there is a fireplace and a tiny TV. The drapes don't cover the windows, so the other residents can look into your bed if walking by kids did often coming and going to the pool , the floor is showing wear and is pealing up, and the door rattles when the wind blows. There is no coffee machine or microwave. Instant coffee is provided ala fancy Folgers coffee . The first night, we ate at the onsite restaurant. The dinner menu was crazy expensive for what you get. Expect to spend between 80 and 100 per person if you have a drink or appetizer. If you eat the cheapest item, no salad, and drink water, you can get out for maybe 45 before tip. The food is just OK. I've had much better in Seattle for far less . The pool closes at 8pm, but there were rowdy kids in the pool past 9pm every night. I would not stay here again.
