We ordered the golden salted egg and the malt ice cream, both served with a 'cloud' of cotton candy. The issue is that even with a plate, the cotton candy was touching the table which is quite unsanitary, not unless you have no intention of eating the cotton candy. The golden salted egg was no good at all. Imagine: eating cold salted egg. Where's the tomato? I hope they could improve on their flavors and make their FOOD the main attraction, not the interior design.
Finally get to try @upinthecloudsicecream. Ice cream - 3.5 out of 5. I had the Brownie Mountain and taste was really good. Serving was pretty ok. My only reservation is the quality itself as I noticed crystallized water which gave it a slight shaved-ice texture rather than the smooth and full cream. Tonkatsu - 4 out of 5. Taste was good. It was well prepared but not over-cooked. And the cheese on top of it was heaven. Same goes for the cream on the side. Ambiance - 5 out of 5. It was clean, the interior design and layout was good. Service - 4 out of 5. Crew was attentive and neat.
Tried their brownie mountain during their soft opening. I love ice cream so I really appreciated my cup which is also super chunky (with generous amount of brownie bits) but I think that flavor is too sweet siguro kasi chocolate on chocolate. I suggest getting other flavors if you're not fond of super sweet ice cream.
