M. Living Balaura loves his creations, which is what they were. Everything fresh from his garden, from market and cooked there and then. No choices just Table d'h^ote. We had a delicious meal, but 3 courses of fish, followed by a delicious light chocolate mouse with a very light chocolate cake like base, mint and lemon balm leaves with marigold petals. Would be better to have a hand written explanation of the dishes, as all complicated and listening you miss words. Price. This was The Fork special offer of 50% off a la carte food. He explained no a la carte so Euro 31 for food plus drinks. It looked as though full price would have been about Euros 67 from board he showed us, buy very unclear and other french couple he hadn't explained it to were not totally clear. Another couple walked out when realised no choice. AN EXPERIENCE WE ENJOYED BUT NOT FOR EVERYONE!
This was a unique experience! I know for sure that this was the dinner we will remember for this vacation. It s in the middle of nowhere. Its a small decent village where you will not see a lot of other people, at least when we where over there today... You cant miss the restaurant. Its on the corner of a crossroad in a lovely french stone building. The sign with the green letters stand out and we truly love the name! This evening we were the only clients, so it felt like we had our privat chef. When you come in you will be surprised that the restaurant is so tiny, 3 or 4 tables with 15 couverts. It s nicely but simple decorated with small items. The thing you will notice immediately is that the restaurant brews there own beer. And the beer taste lovely! They also make lots of other stuff, you can buy, like pickled vegetables and confiture... My first impression was fantastic. I like this kind of restaurants, you know straight away that they have a passion for food and drinks. Of course I already read some reviews, so I wasnt surprised. And this was all before I meet the chef. This guy knows how to treat his guests... Theres a menu, but when you are with kids he is very flexible. You can choose either fish or meat at each course. The chef is eloquent and very kind. He carrys out his passion for food, so we talked a lot with him about that. You will taste his passion in the food. The food is fantastic. Like I said, its an experience not an eatery! Dont think about it, just go there! Send the chef my greetz! Bon appetit!
Livio has one of de best bier in the area of Quetreville! His cuisine is also one in town I will advice anyone near by to give it a try Was around for 10 days ate there 3 times
