Restobar Balú - Quepos

I really likes the vegan Pinto Gallo here with some of the hot sauce mixed into the rice. We also tried the vegan sandwich which was decent, the Gallo was cheaper and better, though.

There are 3 vegan mains on the menu which includes vegan casado, vegan burger and vegan sandwich. The casado and burger are pretty much the same as far as the patty goes. You get fries with the burger and beans, salad, rice with the casado. It tasted OK but the burger could be made differently hence why 3 stars. Well-priced lunch

The vegan food is very good and tastes fresh. If you ask for coffee with alternative milk you get it. The owner and cook is so nice. I ate there three times and it was always yummy, only have two fotos. The portions are big.

During our 6 days in Quepos we went to this restaurant three times. The food and the atmosphere are both great. The owner is so amazing and very welcoming. The fresh fruit juices are incredible.

I personally enjoyed my meal, but the consensus of the group with which I was that this was more like a 2-star experience. The hamburger was thin and tasted like he was frozen. The rest of the food was just bad for me. I had the Cassada and I enjoyed it. But as a group, we wouldn't come back.
