Restaurante Barba Roja - Quepos

Two of the six dinner entrees we ordered were good. The others? Mediocre to terrible. Way overpriced for the quality. Would have been happier just grabbing some slices of pizza up the block It does have a great view of the ocean. Staff was nice.

Absolutely fantastic prospects for the sunset were the drinks 2 for 1 when we went, but honestly were only so dang expensive that they would also come expensive for a sunset and a drink. it was worth the inflatable prices to catch a great look.

The red beard restaurant will find it on the main road of quepos a manuel antonio when it arrives to the center of the village on the road to the right 500 meters of the football field you will see but do not hesitate to ask is very popular for the ticos and for having the best sunset of all the locals there. the kitchen is a mix and influences of several kitchens that could be called international cuisine.

I ordered the churrasco with chimichurri sauce. The dish was lacking in presentation, with only beef, fries, and poorly cooked rice. There was no salsa or salad provided. When I asked for salsa pimienta, I was given a cup of store-bought hot sauce instead. Additionally, the meal was priced very high for the quality.

The restaurant has a slightly rustic and historic atmosphere, not too crowded on a Friday night, but with a definite pura vida vibe. The menu is not too large, but still excellent. The food received top marks, particularly the churrasco and a deliciously juicy hamburger.
