Woodside Cafe - Queens

This is a fantastic spot to chill with friends, the atmosphere is amazing. The host is very friendly and we had some fantastic evenings there.

Please spend your money wisely. We had a terrible experience with the owner's son at this restaurant. We are regular customers and always spend a lot of money, including tips. It was my birthday and we decided to dine there, enjoying the live music. The music was average, but we were still having a good time. However, things took a turn for the worse when the owner's son approached our table and rudely told us not to cheer or make noise while listening to the music. We were shocked as we had paid for the privilege of enjoying the music. It ruined what could have been a beautiful evening. The owner later apologized, but the damage was already done. This restaurant is a disaster, so please avoid it. If you do decide to go, be prepared to sit quietly and not interact with the music or singers. The food is overpriced and the owner spends more time drinking with his friends than providing good customer service. It's a shame to see such a failure of a restaurant.

The dining experience was not impressive and the live music did not enhance the atmosphere. I recommend incorporating more authentic Nepalese flavors into the menu.

Really bad service. after about 20 minutes of sitting. the waitress had a bad attitude from the beginning, hostile, rude and bad moods overall. there were about 3 other parties. after 20 minutes waiting time we were not served. the waitress served the masters who came to us (the masters smoke cigarettes in the restaurant and gave us the second smoke.) she said nothing when she saw us leave. Can not say whether there is discrimination or a terrible business practice of prioritizing regularities while ignore new customers. beautiful that we have gone because I see bad reviews about cleanliness and shurken. never again. glad phayul was close to redeem the night.

I hate giving bad reviews but my experience was really horrible here. The waiter gave us the menu and then never came to take our order. If it was busy I would have understood but there were only three groups of people seated for dinner in the entire restaurant. After 20 minutes of waiting and not being able to order we left. The worst part is that the waiter took the order of people who were seated after we arrived, who seemed like regulars. After 20 minutes of waiting and being ignored, we decided to leave out of frustration. As we walked out the waiter noticed us leaving but didn’t seem to care. Definitely the worst service experience I’ve had in a while.
