L.i.c. Deli Grocery - Queens

If you don't appear Hispanic, I wouldn't recommend going to this place. I was waiting in line when someone cut in front of me, so I politely pointed out that I was waiting. The employee at the counter then asked the person who cut in what he needed. The man who jumped the line claimed he was next, and the counter guy just brushed it off and took his order. It was outright disrespectful and seemed quite racist. I’ve been a regular customer there almost every morning, but clearly, they don’t value their non-Hispanic patrons. I guess it's time for me to find another deli. Honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise, as the food is drenched in grease and often leaks from the wrappers—definitely not healthy. Consider this your warning!

There’s something special about their sandwiches that sets them apart from others. I used to frequent this place in high school and would always order the same pastrami sandwich. I even tried bites of my friends' dishes, which were just as delicious. I returned recently to see if they still measured up to my memories, and, unsurprisingly, I couldn't make it more than five blocks from the deli before finishing my meal. Great food and wonderful people—truly the hallmark of an excellent deli.

My favorite neighborhood spot! It has everything you need, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

The food is not bad. I call it the hole in the wall. Some of the customers that come there are from the homeless shelter and their asking you for money. It's annoying. Some customers are office workers.

Lots to choose from. The breakfast sandwiches were great. Baked goods hit the spot.
